Sealed Lead Acid Technology
Sealed lead acid (SLA) batteries have been around for decades. The technology has evolved to meet the demands of the many different applications they are used in. For example, emergency light batteries are in standby until the power goes out. This is much different from the requirements that a powered wheelchair has. Powered wheelchairs are constantly drawing power from the battery, fully discharging before getting charged back up and used again.
All our Pro-Series batteries are valve-regulated lead acid (VRLA), maintenance-free which means they are fully sealed, and constructed utilizing the newest absorbed glass met (AGM) technology. The difference in our product lines comes from the way the batteries are constructed and the materials used.
The Pro-Series VRLA (PSV) line of batteries is our line of general purpose valve-regulated lead acid batteries. While all our Pro-Series batteries are VRLA, this line of batteries was designed to meet the requirements of the widest array of applications at the best value.
We know the demands of powered wheelchairs and scooters is much different from other applications. Our Pro-Series Medical (PSM) line of batteries was designed with thicker plates than the PSV line to give them the ability to cycle more times at a higher depth of discharge.
The Pro-Series High Rate (PSHR) batteries are most commonly found in uninterruptible power supplies (UPS). From smaller surge protectors with built-in batteries that fit under your desk to massive units that take up whole rooms inside data centers, our PSHR line of batteries will keep you online.
Most commercial applications need batteries that can withstand the hardest of use. The Pro-Series Deep Cycle (PSD) line of batteries has proved to be reliable in applications that demand high power, deep charging, with the most cycles. Using the PSD line of batteries in applications such as floor scrubbers and pallet jacks will mean less downtime and higher productivity.
